ReCreate just purchased our first 3D printer: a Lulzbot Mini! Ryan and I are working together to get it ready for our birthday parties later this summer. Here we are with our first printed projects…

Ryan got the printer up and running and printed some animals. He taught me the operating procedures, then I designed a badge that is a light bulb labeled ‘genius’ for our fundraiser prizes. Talk about teamwork!
Later this summer you'll be able to schedule birthday parties and other events focused on 3D printing, where our resident makers will help your group get their MAKE on!
To get our resident makers in the groove, we participated as a non-competing team in ReCreate's annual fundraiser, Junk2Genius. If I do say so myself, our creation was AWESOME!
We had just two-and-a-half hours to collectively make some sculpture or art following the theme of CAMPING. Our secret weapon was: programmable LED lights in the trailer!
It's been a great month working with Heather and Ryan and I can't wait to see what new projects we come up with for the kids and for camp.
Stay tuned!
